Cerego now supports SCORM content for Pro accounts! You can feel free to upload any of your existing SCORM content that you may have created with any number of providers.
We support the most up to date standards, including standard support for SCORM 1.1, SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 (2nd, 3rd, & 4th editions), and AICC (versions 2.2 and 3.5/4.0 of HACP). We currently do not yet support Experience API ("xAPI", formerly "Tin Can” API).
How do I create SCORM?
In the normal set creation flow, you will see a drop down with ‘SCORM’ as an option. Upload your SCORM package, and that’s it! You now have a SCORM set available as an assignment. Because of SCORM’s requirements, there is no mixing of Cerego content with SCORM content within a set, and a SCORM package stands alone as its own set. However, you can easily mix and match content within the context of a course, which we will cover next.

How do I assign SCORM content?
You can assign SCORM content like you would any other Cerego content. In your Course assignments, search for the SCORM set you just created and add it to your Course. Assign SCORM content alongside Cerego sets – You’re done!

How do my learners experience SCORM content?
Since SCORM as a standard is restricted by having a modular learning experience within the SCORM engine itself, by design SCORM content does not align with the behavior of Cerego content. With SCORM, there is no retention, distributed practice, learning science, and so forth. Given this restriction and to keep the learning science behind Cerego at the forefront, assigned SCORM content does not appear by going through the Smart Learn button. The Smart Learn button is driven by the Cerego learning algorithm, and intelligently surfaces content based on its retention and activation levels.
SCORM content is easily accessible for your learners by navigating to the Course page for the Course the SCORM content was assigned to. With the click of a button, the learner launches into the SCORM experience.

Is the SCORM learn experience available on the mobile apps?
SCORM content is not available on mobile. Due to the standard’s restrictions, the mobile experience of SCORM is sub par, and we recommend using desktop to have an optimized learning experience.
